High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

HDPE pipes and fittings are manufactured at state-of-the-art manufacturing plant. HDPE material is best suited against GI/DI as it is inert to most of the chemicals. Latest generation PE pipe grade raw material is used to provide ultimate strength to the product.

Pipes are produced out of extrusion process while fittings are fabricated from pipes under international under ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. Pipe’s semi-flexible property makes it convenient for handling and installation. Composition: Made from special pipe grade High Density Poly Ethylene – chemically inert material that gives high impact as well as tensile strength. Manufactured at international standard production and testing facility.

Typical Application Areas

  • Agriculture (column pipes for submersible pumps, suction and delivery of water, sprinkler systems, drip/lift irrigation etc.)
  • Potable water supply.
  • Conveying corrosive effluents of chemical and other process industries like petrochemicals, paper, dye stuff, rayon and fertilizers.
  • Sewage and solid waste management pipe lines (IS 14333).
  • Underground pipe lines.
  • Cable duct lines.
  • Radioactive Waste.
  • Onshore and off shore pipe lines for dredging.
  • DM/RODM plants.
  • Air conditioning and ducting.
  • Supply of compressed air.
  • Chilled water circulation.

Key Features - HDPE Pipes

  • Lightweight
  • Flexible - pipes up to 140 mm diameter available in coil form
  • Excellent resistance to stress cracking and long term stress crack propagation
  • Can be safely used down to -40°C
  • Chemically resistant to most corrosive chemicals, acids and alkalies
  • Abrasion resistant
  • All types of fabricate fittings for butt welding available

Advantages of HDPE Pipes over Traditional Pipes.

Light Weight: The reduced weight helps in easy handling and allows for speedy installation.

Flexibility: Pipes up to 110 mm dia can be supplied in coil form, which makes laying the pipe much faster and more economical.

Toughness and Flexural Strength: HDPE pipes are inherently tough and resilient, able to withstand installation and operational stresses.

Smooth Inner Surface: This characteristic reduces frictional losses, which in turn saves energy required for pumping.

Chemical Resistance: The material provides excellent resistance to most corrosive chemicals, acids, and alkalies.

Abrasion Resistance: HDPE is highly durable and capable of conveying abrasive materials like slurry, sand, boiler ash, ores, and food grains.

Thermal & Electrical Properties: It has a thermal conductivity of 11-12.4x10⁴ Cal/Sec.cm.°C and an excellent dielectric strength of 800 kV/cm².

Long Service Life: Once installed, the pipes are almost maintenance-free for decades.
